Integrated Terminal

Even your terminal gets the Hot Dog Stand treatment!

Why This Exists

This theme is a nostalgic tribute to one of the most memorable (and infamous) default color schemes in computing history. The Hot Dog Stand theme was included with Windows 3.1 as an accessibility option for users with visual impairments, but it became legendary for its bold and controversial aesthetic.

Warning ⚠️

This theme is intentionally extreme!

  • May cause eye strain with extended use
  • Not recommended for long coding sessions
  • Best used for novelty, screenshots, or showing off computing history
  • Your coworkers may stage an intervention

For the Brave

If you actually use this as your daily driver theme, you're a true legend. Tweet me a screenshot @YourTwitter!

Customization

If the red is too intense, you can adjust it in your settings.json:

"workbench.colorCustomizations": {
  "[Hot Dog Stand Plus]": {
    "editor.background": "#CC0000"  // Slightly darker red
  }
}
