Wi-Fi Chat

Wi-Fi Chat is a VS Code sidebar extension for quick LAN chat on a fixed port (8689).

Features

• Sidebar chat panel inside VS Code
• Fixed port 8689
• Start server from extension UI
• Connect by host IP on same Wi-Fi

Usage

1. Open Wi-Fi Chat from the Activity Bar.
2. On host machine, click Start Server.
3. Share host IP with friends on the same network.
4. Friends enter host IP and click Connect.
5. Start chatting.

Notes

• Host and clients should be on the same Wi-Fi for LAN mode.
• If connection fails, check firewall settings.
