Installation
Launch VS Code Quick Open (Ctrl+P), paste the following command, and press enter.

Getting Started
After installing the extension, run "Exceeds Impact Tracker"
"Show My Progress" will generate your report leveraging the Exceeds AI service key for OpenAI.
You can also enter your OpenAI API or Google Gemini API key, which is only stored locally. We recommend using enterprise keys.
Instant Self-Reviews with Review Magic
"Review Magic" helps prepare your self-review by analyzing your code. Enter your details to help tune the evaluation to your level and role.
Select your evaluation criteria. You can upload your company's criteria or use Exceeds' engineering evaluation criteria.
Select your local code repos and any supplemental information. Add technical documents or paste in any feedback to help summarize your impact. Review Magic will analyze all the signals to produce a draft.
Preview the self-review draft, and edit or regenerate the review. Note: If you make manual edits, they will not be saved if you choose to regenerate the section with AI.
Export your review in PDF or markup formats. Or copy and paste any specific section.
Status Reports on Your Progress
As you code, your report will track your progress. Generate your report anytime by refreshing or running the "Exceeds Impact Tracker"

Ask an expert - Select a piece of code, right-click, and choose "Ask an expert" to initiate conversations with meaningful context seamlessly.
API Key Notes
Initial version leverages OpenAI API or Google Gemini API keys. We recommend using your enterprise keys where possible.
Future versions will provide Anthropic key support, and local model access for added privacy.
