deepseek-ext README

VSCode Extension that shows a panel for user prompt and a text with text streaming for locally installed Deepseek AI model, based on Fireship's tutorial.

ollama must be installed and run using ollama serve in the terminal before using this extension.

Features

Configurable output directory for AI prompt & response text files in the config.

Requirements

Dependencies: ollama Install by using npm install ollama

Extension Settings

This extension contributes the following settings:

• deepseek-ext.outputDirectory: The output directory for the AI prompt and response text files.
• deepseek-ext.deepseekVersion: The locally installed version of Deepseek AI. Default value is latest.
