Everylayer Enterprise (VS Code)

Secure AI coding agents (Copilot, Cursor, Trae) with enterprise security policies.

What this extension does

• Signs you into your Everylayer portal account (device flow)
• Syncs policy-managed instruction rules into your workspace (Copilot/Cursor/Trae policy locations)
• Verifies installation and shows setup status in the Everylayer view

Getting started

1. Install the extension.
2. Open the Everylayer view (Activity Bar).
3. Run: Everylayer: Sign In.
4. Run: Everylayer: Sync Security Rules (or enable auto-sync).

Commands

• Everylayer: Sign In
• Everylayer: Sign Out
• Everylayer: Sync Security Rules
• Everylayer: Verify Rule Installation

Settings

• everylayer.autoSync (default: true)
  Automatically sync security rules when opening a project.
• everylayer.apiUrl (default: http://localhost:4010)
  URL of the Everylayer management API server.

Data handling

• Credentials are stored using VS Code SecretStorage (not plaintext settings).
• The extension may send operational events to your configured Everylayer API to support rule sync and workspace posture reporting.

Troubleshooting

• If sign-in or sync fails, confirm everylayer.apiUrl points to a reachable Everylayer API server.
• Use Everylayer: Verify Rule Installation to validate that rules are installed correctly for your workspace.
