SludgeVS - Born to consume content, forced to code
SludgeVS is a Visual Studio Code extension designed to provide stimulating content to users that get bored while they code.
🌟 Features
SludgeVS offers a simple, fun feature to help users who need stimulation while coding:
Watch a stimulating video by activating the "HELP ME" command.
Self-hosted video library — playback streams from our own media repo, no YouTube embeds, no ads, nothing that can break out from under you.
🎬 Videos
The built-in library covers all the brain rot bases:
Brain rot memes
Greatest American sports moments
Saved TikToks
Subway Surfers gameplay (1 hour, no commentary)
Relaxing & satisfying ASMR compilation
ASMR slime compilation
Playback is via a native video player — scrub, pause, and jump around like any normal video.
🕹️ Controls
⏮ Previous / ⏭ Next — move through the playlist in order
🔀 Shuffle — jump to a random video
← / → arrow keys work too, and a position counter shows where you are
🚀 Usage
Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command palette.
Type "HELP ME" and select the command from the list.
Lock your brain into the project you're working on by consuming content at the same time
🔧 Requirements
There are no special requirements or dependencies for this extension. Videos stream from GitHub — an internet connection is all you need.
⚙️ Extension Settings
