OS-Specific Settings
This extension provides and easy way to set OS-Specific settings.json values.
Usage
{
// settings.json
// Global switch to enable/disable 'OS-Specific Settings'
"OS-Specific-Settings.Enabled": true,
// Settings to apply for all platforms. Will be overwritten by platform-specific keys.
"OS-Specific-Settings.Settings.shared": {
"editor.fontSize": 13
},
// Settings to apply for windows platform. Overwrites settings set in 'shared' key.
"OS-Specific-Settings.Settings.win32": {
"editor.fontSize": 14
},
// Settings to apply for linux platform. Overwrites settings set in 'shared' key.
"OS-Specific-Settings.Settings.linux": {
"editor.fontSize": 15
},
// If provided, like so, will get updated (if not, will get appended at the bottom of the file):
"editor.fontSize": 12
}
How does it work?
Settings are updated automatically each time a VS Code instance starts.
You can also update the settings manually by running the following command:
OS-Specific-Settings: Set Settings
The <PLATFORM> value is based on Node.js's os.platform() method:
shared - will apply to all platforms
win32 - Windows platform
linux - Linux Platform
android - Android platform
aix - IBM AIX platform
darwin - Darwin platform(MacOS, IOS etc)
freebsd - FreeBSD Platform
openbsd - OpenBSD platform
sunos - SunOS platform
If the key is not found in the settings.json it will get appended at the
bottom of the file. However, if it is found, it will be updated, preserving
your custom file formatting.

Extension can be built with docker.
