DevMeter for VS Code

DevMeter is a powerful, automated coding time tracker designed for developers who want to master their craft. It bridges the gap between your editor and your progress, providing deep insights into your coding habits without you lifting a finger.

✨ Key Features

  • 🚀 Zero-Config Automation: Just install and enter your API key. DevMeter handles the rest in the background.
  • 📊 Real-Time Status Bar: See your daily coding time directly in your VS Code status bar.
  • 🧠 Smart Session Tracking: Automatically detects active coding sessions vs. idle time.
  • 🌍 Vibrant Dashboard: Syncs with the DevMeter Web Dashboard to show beautiful, high-contrast language and project breakdowns.
  • 📦 Feather-light: Optimized for performance, weighing in at less than 1MB.
  • 🔓 100% Open Source: Built for transparency. Audit the code, contribute, or host it yourself. Unlike other trackers, your data's journey is fully visible.
