TruffleOS Code

Your hardware‑accelerated autonomous coding assistant, seamlessly integrated into VS Code.

Overview

The TruffleOS Code connects your editor to the Truffle ecosystem, bringing an autonomous coding assistant to your workflow. The extension communicates with the Truffle Desktop Client and operates on Truffle hardware to provide secure, high‑performance assistance directly within VS Code.

Requirements:

  • Truffle hardware
  • Truffle Desktop Client
  • Visual Studio Code

Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up the extension with your Truffle hardware and the Truffle Desktop Client.

1) Install the Truffle Desktop Client

Download and install the desktop client for your platform:

  • macOS: itsalltruffles.com/client/download/mac
  • Windows: itsalltruffles.com/client/download/win
  • Linux: itsalltruffles.com/client/download/linux

After installation, launch the Truffle Desktop Client.

2) Connect Your Truffle Hardware

Connect your Truffle hardware and ensure it is detected by the Truffle Desktop Client. Keep the client running in the background.

3) Open the TruffleOS VS Code Extension

Open VS Code and launch the TruffleOS extension. When prompted, the extension will request permission—through the Truffle Desktop Client—to start a session on your Truffle hardware.

You must accept this request in the Truffle Desktop Client. If you do not grant permission, the extension cannot function.

4) Start Coding

Once permission is granted and the session is established, you can begin using the autonomous coding assistant features within VS Code.

Troubleshooting

  • If you do not see a permission prompt, verify that the Truffle Desktop Client is running and your hardware is connected.
  • If you declined permission by mistake, reopen the extension or restart VS Code to trigger a new request.
  • Ensure you are using the latest versions of the Truffle Desktop Client and this extension.
