🚀 Getting Started
1. Installation
In VS Code:
Open the Extensions sidebar (Ctrl+Shift+X / Cmd+Shift+X).
Click the ... menu in the top right corner.
Select Install from VSIX...
Choose cutoken-pro-1.0.0.vsix.
In Cursor:
Open Cursor Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X).
Click the ... menu -> Install from VSIX...
Select cutoken-pro-1.0.0.vsix.
2. Connect Your Account
Click the ⚡ CuToken icon in your Activity Bar (or the status bar item CuToken: Set Key at the bottom).
Choose either:
Enter API Key: Paste your ct_live_... key from pro.cutoken.in.
Browser Login: Opens the CuToken dashboard to generate/copy your key.
3. Usage
Method 1: Editor Hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+O / Cmd+Alt+O)
In any file or scratchpad, type your English prompt.
Highlight the prompt text.
Press Ctrl+Alt+O (Cmd+Alt+O on Mac).
Watch the prompt compress in real time!
Method 2: Sidebar Panel
Click the ⚡ CuToken icon in the Activity Bar.
Type or paste your prompt into the input area.
Choose your intensity mode (Safe, Balanced, Aggressive).
Click ⚡ Optimize Prompt.
View token savings and click Copy to Clipboard or Insert at Cursor.
Your API keys are stored securely using VS Code's encrypted SecretStorage API (backed by the OS Keychain / Secret Service). No credentials are ever saved in plain text.
