Seamlessly install and configure Check Point's Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to connect your Check Point security infrastructure with AI assistants. This extension provides secure, one-click installation and management of MCP servers that enable AI workflows to access real-time security data, automate policy management, and enhance threat analysis from your Check Point deployments.

⚠️ Prerequisites

Node.js 18.0.0+ is required - MCP servers are Node.js packages that run alongside VS Code. Install Node.js from nodejs.org before using this extension.

🚀 How to Use

1. Open Server Management

1. Install the extension from VS Code Marketplace
2. Open VS Code Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + P)
3. Type: Check Point and select Check Point MCP: Open Server Management
4. Server Management Interface opens - Browse available MCP servers by category

2. Install and Configure a Server

1. Browse servers organized by category (Management, Gateway, Cloud)
2. Click "Install Server" on any server you want to use
3. Click "Configure" and fill in the relevant fields in the setup form:
   • Secure credentials (API keys, passwords) are encrypted and stored in VS Code's secure storage using your OS keychain
   • Sensitive data never appears in plain text in configuration files
   • Note that not all fields are mandatory for certain configurations. Check out the specific server info for more details.
4. Server is ready - Once configured, it's automatically available for AI assistants

This extension fully supports remote development environments:

• WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) - Automatic path translation and environment detection
