Velo Terminal

Velo in VS Code's panel: a fast terminal with blocks, autosuggestions and just enough AI.

  • Blocks — every command and its output is a block you can select, copy, search and rerun.
  • Autosuggestions from your history, per folder, accepted with →.
  • AI help with the subscriptions you already have (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor, or local Ollama): type plain English or #… for a command, ⌥F to fix a failed one, ⌥E to explain. Nothing runs without you pressing Enter, and secrets are redacted first.
  • Clickable file paths in output open in the editor.

Requirements

The Velo app (0.3.1 or later) must be installed: it runs in the background as this panel's terminal engine and serves its UI, so the panel always matches your Velo. Download it from the releases page. If it's somewhere unusual, set velo.appPath.

Use

Open the Velo tab in the bottom panel (or run View: Focus on Velo View). New tabs start in the workspace folder. Settings, history and AI sign-ins are shared with the Velo app.
