Cepho Sync

Cepho Sync connects your VS Code or Cursor workspace to Cepho cloud. It keeps project files in sync so you can work from the Cepho mobile app and your desktop editor against the same codebase.

What it does

  • Syncs workspace file changes to Cepho (Firebase Storage, delta sync)
  • Pair once with Cepho: Connect to Cepho
  • Pull / push when you need a full refresh
  • Runs a background daemon so sync continues after the editor window is idle

Install

Marketplace (recommended): search for Cepho Sync in VS Code or Cursor Extensions, then Install.

VSIX (cepho.cloud setup): follow the install commands on the setup page (version matches this release).

Full setup walkthrough: https://cepho.cloud/?step=3

Connect once

  1. Open the correct project folder (repo root).
  2. Command Palette → Cepho: Connect to Cepho (same email as the Cepho app).
  3. Approve the pairing once in the Cepho app.
  4. Wait for Synced, not only Connected.

Already connected

If .cepho.json already exists in the project, Connect will not create a second project. That is normal. Keep only one Active sync for that project in the app.

VS Code vs Cursor

They are different apps with different CLIs:

  • VS Code → code
  • Cursor → cursor

Install the matching shell command in PATH from that editor, then use the matching install command. Installing with the wrong CLI puts the extension in the wrong editor.
