Getting Started
Zakereen defaults to Makkah with the Umm al-Qura calculation method. Review the settings after installation so prayer times match your location and preferred method. DashboardHomeSee a daily remembrance, today's count, the next prayer, a hadith, and your reminder rhythm. PrayersView Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha in your local display format. The next prayer is highlighted, and the dashboard shows whether times came from AlAdhan or your manual mosque timetable. TasbihSelect a remembrance, choose a target, and count from the dashboard. Your current session and daily totals persist between editor restarts. Press Ctrl+Alt+D on Windows or Linux, or Cmd+Alt+D on macOS, to count from anywhere in the editor when an input is not focused. SettingsConfigure prayer calculation, reminders, Friday mode, quiet-moment reflections, and the status-bar summary. Privacy and Network UseZakereen does not read, collect, or transmit your source code, file contents, terminal output, project names, or workspace data. When automatic prayer calculation is enabled, the configured city, country, calculation method, and madhab are sent to the AlAdhan prayer-time service. Prayer data, settings, tasbih state, and dhikr totals are stored locally by the editor. Choose manual mosque times if you do not want to request calculated prayer times. Reminders run only while the editor extension host is active. Zakereen is not an operating-system prayer alarm and cannot notify you while the IDE is fully closed. CompatibilityZakereen supports VS Code 1.85 or newer and compatible desktop IDEs that implement the VS Code Extension API. A separate Open VSX publication may be required for IDEs that do not use the Visual Studio Marketplace. SupportWhen reporting a prayer-time problem, include your city, country, calculation method, madhab, and expected time. Do not include private workspace or account information.
