C3.ai VSCode Extension

This is the official VS Code extension for development on the C3 AI Suite. The extension provides JavaScript and Python intellisense on the .js and .py files corresponding to .c3typ files. For more information on C3.ai , visit our website

Important Note: The current version supports version 7.20 and beyond.

Getting started

Install the extension

To begin first install the extension from the Marketplace. Once installed the following should show up:

1. The C3 logo on the left side nav
2. The Onboarding feature highlight page (shown below)

Configure Workspace

After installing, ensure that that a worksplace is open (this can be from a previous session). Then walk through the following steps to get started:

1. Add and connect to a C3.ai environment
2. Add any additional C3 repositories
3. Select your working (root) package
