Getting Started

1. Install the extension.
2. Click the BillForge icon in the Activity Bar.
3. Click Sync Logs to detect your local AI tool usage.
4. Set your budget via the status bar menu.

Privacy

BillForge parses local log files from popular AI tools (Cursor, Kimi, Claude, etc.) to estimate costs. Your data stays on your machine unless you explicitly configure the cloud dashboard sync.

Configuration

• billforge.refreshInterval: How often to poll logs (default: 30s).
• billforge.budgetThresholds: Custom alert percentages.
• billforge.showIntervention: Enable/disable cost-saving suggestions.
• billforge.logPath: Override the auto-detected log directory.
