Installation
- Open Extensions in VS Code.
- Search for DarkNightCode.
- Click Install.
- Open the Command Palette with
Ctrl + Shift + P.
- Search for Preferences: Color Theme.
- Select DarkNightCode.
Manual Installation
You can also install the .vsix package manually:
- Download the
.vsix file.
- Open VS Code.
- Go to Extensions → ... → Install from VSIX...
- Select the downloaded
.vsix file.
Theme Details
DarkNightCode uses a deep violet color palette with carefully selected syntax colors:
- Background: Deep Violet
- Keywords: Soft Purple
- Functions: Blue
- Strings: Soft Red/Pink
- Numbers: Warm Orange
- Types & Classes: Cyan
- Variables: Blue
- Comments: Muted Purple
- Operators & Punctuation: Teal / Lavender
The theme is designed to keep the editor visually distinctive while maintaining clear syntax separation.
