Bright Security Visual Studio Code extension for DAST scanning

Releasing secure software is imperative. Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) is one of the best methods to validate that an application has no vulnerabilities. A DAST tool will map the attack surface and perform attack simulations (security testing) on the attack surface to find and alert of existing vulnerabilities. Bright Security Dev Centric DAST is a platform to validate application security from within the IDE. The attack simulation engine is SaaS-based and can be used within Visual Studio Code with this extension. Install the extension

The Bright Security Visual Studio Code extension is available for installation on the Visual Studio code marketplace.

Follow these steps to install:

• Open the settings or preferences in your IDE.

• Click Install to the Bright Security Extension on the Visual Studio Code Marketplace. For more information, see the installation instructions.

• Configure the Bright Security setting; see Visual Studio extension configuration.

• Add a new target in the extension target list and configure the target settings.
