BOUNDED: stay in control of your own thinking

THE PROBLEM

AI coding tools are everywhere now. And honestly? They're great. But there's a sneaky side effect nobody really talks about. When you can just paste a solution and move on, you sometimes do. Over and over. And slowly, without noticing, you stop being the one solving the problem.

Your code works. But do YOU know why it works?

That's the gap Bounded is trying to close.

WHAT BOUNDED DOES

Bounded watches how you code during a session and gives you a simple score that answers one question: "How much of this session was actually you?"

The score is called your BRI, think of it like a mirror that reflects how much you've been writing on your own versus leaning on pasted or AI-generated code.

Feeling good? → Low score. You're doing the thinking. Worth a look? → Medium score. A little heavy on paste. Heads up! → High score. Bounded will give you a nudge.

That nudge is just a small message at the bottom of your screen. Nothing dramatic. Just a gentle "hey — you might want to slow down here."

IT'S NOT JUDGING YOU

Bounded is not here to punish you or call you a cheater.

There's no right or wrong score. There's no teacher seeing this. It's just for you, so you can notice your own patterns and decide what to do with that information.

Some days you'll paste a lot. That's fine. The point is just to be aware of it.

YOUR PRIVACY

Bounded never sees your actual code. It never sends anything anywhere. Everything stays on your computer, always.

We only track simple things like how many lines you typed versus pasted. That's it. Nothing sensitive, nothing shared.

TWO MODES — YOU CHOOSE

Standard → Bounded mostly stays quiet. It only speaks up when your reliance gets really high.

Strict → Bounded checks in earlier and more often. Good if you really want to push yourself.

You pick when you first open it, and you can change it whenever you want.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Bounded is for anyone learning to code who wants to make sure they're actually learning, not just getting things to run.
