Bloomtech Env Setup

Overview

The Bloomtech Env Setup extension is designed for students enrolled in the Web Track at Bloom Institute of Technology. This extension facilitates the process of confirming that Visual Studio Code (VSCode) has been successfully installed on the student's computer. By generating a unique code based on the student's email address, it allows for an easy verification process on the Bloomtech platform.

Installation

This extension can be installed directly from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.

1. Open VSCode.
2. Navigate to the Extensions view by clicking on the square icon on the sidebar or pressing Ctrl+Shift+X.
3. Search for Bloomtech to find the Bloomtech Env Setup extension.
4. Click on the Install button.

Usage

To use the extension and generate your unique setup confirmation code, follow these steps:

1. Open the Command Palette by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (macOS).
2. Type Bloomtech Setup Confirmation Code and select the command.
3. When prompted, enter your email address and press Enter.
4. A unique code will be generated and displayed in a toast notification with an option to copy it to your clipboard.
5. Click on the Copy code to clipboard button to copy your code.
6. Paste this code into the designated area on the Bloomtech platform to confirm your VSCode installation.
