Betopia Coding Agent for VS Code

A coding agent that works inside your workspace. It reads the repository, plans the change, edits files, runs your commands, and shows you every result — with your approval on anything that touches disk or terminal.

  • Powerful intelligence: Use the Betopia AI model catalog, or point the agent at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint or a local Ollama server. Model and reasoning effort are picked per conversation.
  • Works alongside you: Betopia explores your codebase on its own, reads and writes code, and runs terminal commands with your permission.
  • You stay in control: Ask, Edit, Plan, and Auto permission modes, with approvals scoped to one action, one run, or the whole workspace.
  • Integrated with the editor: Betopia knows your current file and text selection, and proposes changes in VS Code's native diff view before anything is written.
  • Powerful agentic features like subagents, built-in slash-command skills, and MCP servers are supported, and configured from the Settings panel.

New to Betopia?

Visit betopia.ai/coder to get started. In the editor, open the Betopia view in the activity bar, run Betopia: Sign in with Betopia AI Platform, pick a model in the composer, and start a conversation.

Prefer it beside your code?

Drag the Betopia view into the secondary sidebar to keep the chat on the right while you work. Selected code can be sent straight to it with Betopia: Send Selection to Betopia.

Requirements

  • VS Code 1.90.0 or higher
  • A Betopia AI account, or an API key for a compatible provider
