Visual Studio Code plugin

This extension adds basic syntax support for the CIDL and CDEPL languages.

Description

CIDL = Communication Interface Definition Language

The CIDL is a kind of the Domain Specific Language (DSL) and it was designed and developed for purposes of the Automotive Communication Framework (ACF) – a communication middleware developed by Aptiv and used for data exchange between processes or apps running on nodes of a vehicle infrastructure. It is used for defining Platform Independent Models of service interfaces that specify an API of a service.

CDEPL = CIDL Deployment

The CDEPL was created as a natural extension of the CIDL applications in a domain of an interface deployment specification. It is used for defining Platform Specific Models of service interfaces that specify all communication details such as transport or protocol stack used on a target project platform - in other words the Interface Deployment Model.

Features

  • Syntax highlighting for CIDL and CDEPL currently works best using Default Dark Modern.
