🛠️ Requirements

🚀 Installation

  1. 📥 Install the VSCode Aider Extension from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.
  2. ⚙️ Make sure the Aider CLI tool is ready to go on your system.
  3. 🔐 Set up your API keys in the extension settings.

🎮 Usage

  1. Start Aider: 🏁 Fire up the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "Aider: Open".
  2. Select AI Model: 🤖 Pick your AI companion with the "Aider: Select Model" command.
  3. Access Menu: 📊 Click the Aider status bar item or use the command palette for all Aider functions.
  4. Refactor/Modify Code: ✨ Select code, right-click, and let Aider work its magic.
  5. Manage Files: 📁 Use the explorer context menu to add or ignore files in Aider.
  6. Generate README: 📝 Create a stunning project README with "Aider: Generate README.md".

🐛 Known Issues

  • 🪟 Windows users, hang tight! We're working on improving compatibility.
  • 🔍 Sometimes the extension might miss a few open files on startup. We're on it!
