alwaysblue — in-context expert help, inside VS Code

Stuck on a bug your AI assistant can't crack? alwaysblue brings a real human expert into your editor's context — they see the exact file, error, and what you've already tried, and hand back a fix you can apply in one click.

How it works

  1. Describe the problem. A short wizard captures your title, what you expect, the error, and the files involved — straight from your open project.
  2. Share only what you choose. Pick specific files, or share your whole project. Your .env, keys, and secret files are never uploaded, and inline secrets are redacted before anything leaves your machine.
  3. Chat with your expert. A built-in thread keeps the whole conversation in one place.
  4. Apply the fix. When the expert delivers a fix, it shows up as a version you can apply with one click — and revert any time (automatic local backups).

Privacy first

  • Your code stays yours — we never publish, sell, or train AI models on it.
  • It's shared only with the expert helping you.
  • You control which files are visible and can revoke access by closing the task.

See the in-app Terms and Privacy links on the sign-in screen.

Getting started

  1. Open the alwaysblue icon in the Activity Bar.
  2. Sign in (or use demo mode).
  3. Click Request help, follow the wizard, and send.

That's it — an expert picks it up and you'll get replies and fixes right in the panel.
