Altrobyte AI Trainer

A hands-on lab instructor inside VS Code, for Altrobyte Lab learners. It looks at your real setup (PlatformIO, your ESP32 board on USB, your serial output, your project files), teaches without doing the work for you, shows you the wiring as a picture, opens your file at the exact line where you should type, and marks a step done only when a real check passes.

Get started (2 minutes)

1. Click the Altrobyte robot icon in the activity bar.
2. Sign in: learners use the WhatsApp number and OTP; educators use email and password.
3. Press Experiments and choose the experiment your teacher switched on, or press Start session.
4. Allow only what you are comfortable with in What the trainer may look at.

You can also start from your module page on altrobytelab.com with Start in VS Code.

There is nothing else to install: the extension carries its own Python. For building and uploading firmware you need the PlatformIO IDE extension; the trainer will tell you if it is missing.

You stay in control

• Your code stays on your computer. Only short facts about your setup are sent to answer you, and Wi-Fi and MQTT passwords are hidden first.
• Build and upload always ask before anything runs. Adding a starter file asks too, and never replaces your work (your old file is kept as a backup).
• See everything: "Show what the trainer did and what was sent" lists every request and what left your computer.
• No internet? "Check my progress" runs the same checks on your computer with no AI.

This first version supports Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
