Get paid while you build. AdsInAgents is the ad layer for AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot. One labeled sponsor line, verified impressions, real earnings in your status bar.
Installation
Launch VS Code Quick Open (Ctrl+P), paste the following command, and press enter.
AdsInAgents shows one clearly labeled sponsor line while your coding agent works. Verified impressions earn you money. This extension mirrors that line, plus your live earnings, into the VS Code status bar.
The background daemon picks one short sponsor line per session and verifies you were present (terminal focused, screen awake) before any impression counts.
This extension reads the daemon's local state and shows two things in your status bar:
Ad: ✶ <sponsor line> ↗ · sponsored while a session is live
your earnings, $0.42 today · $7.11 (opt-in: adsinagents config set show-earnings true)
Clicking the line opens the sponsor link. Clicks earn more than impressions.
What this extension does NOT do
No network calls. It reads two local JSON files written by the daemon.
No code, prompt, or telemetry collection. Your editor content is never touched.
No patching of Claude Code or any other extension.
Nothing renders unless you installed AdsInAgents and a session is live.
Disclosure, always
Every sponsor line carries the Ad: prefix and · sponsored suffix. That disclosure is not configurable, by design.

Privacy
The daemon verifies impressions locally and syncs only impression receipts (ids and timestamps) to the AdsInAgents server. Prompt text never leaves your machine unless you explicitly opt in to contextual ads (off by default).
