Devailey
An AI coding agent from Adroitent that works inside VS Code — reading your codebase, editing across files, running commands, and driving tasks to completion.
What it does
- Agentic tasks. Give Devailey a goal and it plans, edits, runs, and verifies — across as many files as the change needs.
- Modes for the work at hand. Switch between Architect, Code, and Debug, each with its own tools and system prompt.
- Slash commands.
/commit, /resolve-conflicts, /release, and /adroitent-ui ship built in. Add your own as Markdown in .devailey/commands/.
- Skills. Drop reusable instructions in
.devailey/skills/ and Devailey loads them when they apply.
- MCP servers. Connect Model Context Protocol servers to give the agent your own tools and data.
- Restore points. Checkpoint the workspace as the agent works and roll back a change you don't want.
- Your choice of model. Devailey's managed backend, or bring your own provider key.
Getting started
- Install the extension and open the Devailey panel from the activity bar.
- Sign in, or add a provider key under Settings → Models.
- Describe a task in your own words. Type
/ for commands, @ to add files, images, or terminal output as context.
