Journal VS Code Extension

Description

The Journal VS Code Extension allows you to easily maintain a journal within VS Code. When triggered, it appends the current date and time to a file for easy entry of your journal content.

Installation

  • Open VS Code.
  • Go to the Extensions view by clicking the square icon on the sidebar or pressing Ctrl+Shift+X.
  • Search for Journal VS Code Extension.
  • Click the Install button.

Usage

  • Open the Command Palette by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS.
  • Type whatever you want.
  • Ctrl + Save for save

Configuration

This extension saves the journal entries to a file located at C:\journal\journal.txt by default. You can modify the directoryPath and filePath variables in the extension code to change the file location.
