aicash for VS Code

Get paid while you code. aicash shows exactly one sponsored text line at the far right of your status bar — and pays you 70% of the revenue for every impression it serves (early-stage promo: the split is 70/30 in your favor).

This extension does one thing, openly: it is the VS Code client of the aicash wait-time ad network, the same network that runs in the Claude Code status line and the OpenCode TUI via npm i -g aicash.

How it works

• One unobtrusive text ad in the status bar. No popups, no webviews, no slowdown — on any error it silently shows nothing. (The only notification you will ever see is a single, dismissible sign-in reminder.)
• Ads are matched from coarse, privacy-safe signals only: the language ids of your open editors and dependency names from your workspace package.json. Never file contents, file names, or paths.
• Earnings accrue to your machine's aicash account (~/.aicash). If you also use the aicash CLI, everything lands in one account.

⚠ Installing shows ads — signing in gets you paid

Out of the box the extension serves ads anonymously, and anonymous impressions are not paid (and not paid retroactively). To start earning, sign in once — pick either way, they're the same account:

1. In the editor (no CLI needed): open the command palette and run aicash: Sign in — enter your email, type the code we send you, done.
2. In the terminal: npm i -g aicash && aicash login.

One sign-in covers every aicash host on this machine (VS Code, Claude Code, opencode, Kiro, AntiGravity). Track earnings and set your payout wallet at app.aicash.fun.

Privacy

IPs are hashed server-side with a rotating salt; ad requests carry only the coarse signals described above; impressions are deduplicated per session with single-use nonces. Full policy: aicash.fun/privacy.
