Chat RTL

Right-to-left text for VS Code Chat and Cursor chat and agent messages.

Persian, Arabic, and Hebrew paragraphs align from the right. An English paragraph stays on the left. English words and inline code stay inside a Persian sentence instead of dropping onto their own line.

Install

Install Chat RTL from the VS Code Marketplace or from Open VSX inside Cursor. Reload the window when asked.

The same extension runs in both editors.

After an editor update

Run Chat RTL: Apply / Fix After Update from the Command Palette, then reload the window.

What it changes

On first launch it copies a small script into the editor installation and loads it from preload.js, then updates that file's checksum. Chat and agent text are the surfaces it redirects. Code editors, diffs, and code blocks stay left-to-right.
