A flexible web control for file management, the Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX FileExplorer completely mimics the Windows Explorer functionality and is entirely built with Telerik RadControls. You can easily add it to your page, and organize your files and folders: create, rename, delete, drag and drop, all the familiar file operations and all of them performed on the client.

RadFileExplorer consists of several controls from Telerik AJAX UI suite: TreeView, Grid, Upload, ToolBar, Splitter. The controls are easily integrated between each other and facilitate the development process for unlimited customizations.

Flexible Load on Demand Mechanism

For smooth desktop-like experience Telerik FileExplorer can load on demand only for the current expanded section. The sub-nodes of the TreeView are loaded on demand via web services.

Rich Client-side API and Events

The rich API and events allows for all file operations to be performed on the client: create, rename, delete, drag and drop, sort, filer files on the client and all the changes will be persisted on the server.

Custom File Content Provider

The Telerik FileExplorer offers the ability to implement custom content providers for hooking to any underlying file system, such as OS, database, SharePoint, WebSetvice, Custom role-based CMS system, etc.

Context Menus

Telerik ASP.NET AJAX FileExplorer has a built-in context menu (RadContextMenu) which can be fully customized through CSS. By right clicking you can easily upload, delete, rename files/folders.
