Silverlight Report Viewer for Telerik Reporting

Report viewers enable reporting integration with other applications. When a user relies on a reporting tool, they must be able to easily and quickly embed reporting functionality into existing line-of-business desktop or web applications through dedicated report viewer controls and without significantly restructuring or modifying anything. Telerik Reporting ensures integration with the most relevant .NET and JS technologies.

The Telerik Reporting Silverlight Report Viewer is the first in the industry which allows developers to deliver powerful reporting capabilities to any rich application developed with Silverlight.

The Silverlight Report Viewer control works on the client side and communicates with the reporting engine through dedicated Telerik Reporting WCF Service. The viewer passes the report identifier to the service, requesting its rendering in a specified format. The service renders the report and serves its contents back to the report viewer. The contents use standard XAML elements like Canvas and TextBlock and are rendered through a Telerik Reporting XAML for Silverlight rendering mechanism.

  • Client: Microsoft Silverlight v4+ should be installed on the client side for viewing reports.
