I built this from the sample shown in 10-4 Episode 5: Code Focused in Visual Studio 2010 by Drew Robbins, he covers this bit about 13 minutes into his video. simply put it gives you alternating light and dark lines for code like back in the good old days when your code came back from processing in the mainframe or mini computer on piano ruled green listing paper.
Source code now available on GitHub here
It looks like this:
P.S. I should really update the comments in the source code from the default ones supplied in the template.
*Note: the colors only work with the Light Theme in VS11 Beta, I will work on making the colors auto change when theme is changed and hopfully have options for setting the colors in Options soon.
Note: I have just updated this to work with VS2013 still tryign to get the time to add options for colors and themes.
Added Support for the VS2015 and now VS2017 (sorry for the delay) however I am unable to upload it as the VS Gallery gives an error.
I will pusblish to GitHub shortly.
