Privacy & data

Risk Manager stores the minimal configuration needed to display Risks in your Azure DevOps dashboards. We as a vendor can never access your app data. It does not modify the work items.

Permissions

The extension requests these scopes for specific reasons:

  • vso.extension.data: read configuration and stored link metadata for rendering.
  • vso.extension.data_write: save configuration and link metadata in your organization.
  • vso.graph: verify that the user purchasing/installing the app is a Project Collection Administrator.
  • vso.memberentitlementmanagement: read the number of billable users in the Azure DevOps organization to determine the correct app license tier.
  • vso.work: read work items and related field data so the widget can display risks in the matrix.
  • vso.work_write: create or update Risk work items and persist changes made through the extension.
