This extension helps you generate code fix proposals with GitHub Copilot based on Code Optimizations insights, helping you address specific performance issues more effectively.

• Some features only available to Azure Application Insights Code Optimizations users
• Only available to GitHub Copilot and GitHub Copilot Chat users
• Only available to public cloud (no national clouds) and portal.azure.com
• Only available in English during the public preview
• Public preview comes with no additional charge

Pre-requisites

1. Visual Studio 17.12 or higher
2. GitHub Copilot Chat
3. Azure Application Insights Code Optimizations set-up

Getting started

1. Install the extension
2. Open the solution (or project) corresponding to your Application Insights resource
3. Start a GitHub Copilot chat and ask @Code_optimizations /connect <Your Application Insights resource name>
