you can use it with Two options firstly

select text and click right-click then click search will navigate you by default ,

for microsoft edge with google search

second option:

select text then press Alt+S this will lead to same behavior

and you can change options like default browser or default search engine

firslt open tools -> options -> type "search extension" there is three options you can modify:

1-BrowserPath for default browser

2-main search engine

3-do you want use visual studio Browser or not (default is true) if true will use visual studio Browser ,

else use defaultBrowser which you put it's path (default is Edge)

third option(1.2V):

if you need search about exception displayed on exception window
