Getting started with Power Platform ToolsPower Platform Tools for Visual Studio supports the rapid creation, debugging, and deployment of plug-ins. Other capabilities currently in preview include development and deployment of custom workflow activities, web resources, integration technologies like Azure Service endpoints, webhooks, and more. You may note that Power Platform Tools for Visual Studio is similar in appearance and function to the Developer Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013. Power Platform Tools is a new extension and does not intend to support compatibility with any templates or projects from the Developer Toolkit and vice versa. We recommend that you uninstall the Toolkit before installing this new extension. We value your feedback. Please share your thoughts and wish list from within the extension - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/data-platform/tools/devtools-create-plugin#providing-tool-feedback If you run into issues please reach out to powerplatformvs@microsoft.com with the activity log if possible - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/reference/log-devenv-exe?view=vs-2019 These guides describe how to install and use the Visual Studio extension.
