A work item & bug tracking dashboard widget for Azure DevOps — built for teams that run a shared, delivery backlog and need a single management view of quality and release readiness.
Severity, category and reopen status are derived from tags and resolution reason, not the Severity/Priority fields, so the numbers stay accurate even when those fields are left at defaults.
What it shows
Six KPIs (RAG): Open bugs · Blocker+Critical · Awaiting QA verify · Reopened/retest · Invalid rate · Net flow (24h)
Drill-down grid with deep links into Azure Boards; click any chart to cross-filter
Highlights
Live data via WIQL + batched REST using the dashboard's own token — no PAT, no stored secret
Light / dark toggle in the widget header, remembered per viewer; default theme configurable
Current project only — auto-scoped to the dashboard's project; fully resizable up to full-width. Configurable lookback window, burndown window, SLA thresholds and release date
On-prem friendly — trends reconstructed from Created/Resolved/Closed dates (no Analytics OData required)
Configure
Add the widget to a dashboard, click the gear, and set project scope, lookback, SLA thresholds (Blocker / Critical / High / Medium days) and default theme. Each viewer sees only work items they already have permission to read.
Permissions
Runs as the signed-in user with the vso.work (read work items) scope. No service account required.
