Stop typing the same tasks into every user story. Add your team's standard
set of tasks to a user story in two clicks, right from the sprint taskboard.
How it works
On the sprint taskboard, open the ⋯ menu of a user story card.
Choose Add Defaulttasks....
Tick the tasks you need and click Add.
The tasks are created as children of the story and appear on the board
right away.
Features
Inherits Area and Iteration: every new task gets the Area Path and
Iteration Path of its user story, so it lands in the right sprint.
No duplicates: tasks that already exist under the story are marked
already exists and skipped, so running it twice is safe.
Optional assignment: assign all new tasks to the story's assignee
with a single checkbox.
Works beyond the taskboard: also available on Kanban boards, backlogs
and query results. Select several items to add the tasks to all of them
at once.
Any process: works with User Stories (Agile), Product Backlog Items
(Scrum) and Requirements (CMMI).
Light and dark theme support.
Your team's list, per project
Click Edit list in the dialog to set up the default tasks for your
project: add, rename, remove and reorder tasks, and choose which ones are
pre-selected. The list is shared with everyone in the project and takes
effect immediately, with no redeployment needed.
Requirements
Azure DevOps Services, or Azure DevOps Server 2020 or newer
