TFS History Search

Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 extension to allow free text search in TFS History.

Feature

TFS History Search provides search within TFS history comments and find a particular change-set instead of traversing the whole list. The extension goes one step forward and facilitates free text search in change-set fields. For example you can use change-set id, username or even date-time as search keywords.

Getting Started

After installing the extension, search option appears in context menu in Solution Explorer as well as Source Control Explorer.

Click ‘Search History’ to launch Search window.

To compare change set with latest version or previous version, right click to open context menu as below and then select the appropriate option.

Note: If you right click while only one change set is selected, ‘Compare’ option will be disabled.

‘Compare’ option lets you compare two change sets.

To compare two change sets, select two change sets and right click. Then select ‘Compare’ from context menu.

How to Uninstall

1. Open Extensions and Updates from Tools menu:

Select TFS History Search from Installed list. Click ‘Uninstall’
