Build Visual Studio Installer projectsThis task will build your Visual Studio Installer projects, also known as .vdproj files. If you use the VS Installer extension in Visual Studio for creating installers, this task could make life easier for you: as MsBuild is not able to build these projects, you would need to call 'devenv' to build it. This task can easily be configured and will copy all built MSI-files into your artifact-staging-directory. v1.2.4 - Fixed VS2017 issue. This task now functions properly with VS2017 solutions (but only if you installed it in C:\Program Files (x86)). v1.1.9 - Bugfix for misinterpreted Visual Studio 2017 variable. v1.1.8 - Added support for VS2017. Needless to say your agent should have Visual Studio 2017 installed in orde to use this. v1.1.7 - Bugfix for an issue that displayed an error stating 'The term 'Env:Build_SourcesDirectory' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program.'. This error only occurred if you specified a .vdproj file (.sln files were not impacted). v1.1.6 - New version with a new product ID. You should remove any prior versions manually and update to 1.1.6 by adding the extension again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. UsageYou can choose to build a solution and let the task take care of finding all generated MSI's for you, or you could specify a specific .vdproj file to build just a single installer.
