This extension trims the white space from the end of every line in the file. The original caret position in the document is maintained. Simply select the “Trim line ends” item from the Edit menu. You may assign a shortcut; we recommend Ctrl ;, Ctrl L. White space at the ends of lines looks sloppy to those of us who have “View White Space” enabled This extension is open source. You can find the code here. Version InfoVisual Studio 2022 extensions are not compatible with earlier versions of Visual Studio, which is why this version exists.
