Create Cosmic App Ev2 Collateral

A VSTS Source item (grid and tree) menu extension to allow developers easily create Cosmic App Ev2 collateral from a template project..

The extension scaffolds a Cosmic Service Collaterals under the selected git directory based on the inputs provided and creates a remote git branch on behalf of the requester which you can then pull or directly create a pull request to merge the skeleton.

Extension supports creation of .NET Core csproj format and will only work with repositories setup to support this. Contact t-chenke@microsoft.com to learn more

Build

• cd in D2Services/sources/dev/VsExtensions/CosmicScaffolding.
• Run npm install to install the required packages.
• Run npm run packageto build the extension.
  • A vsix extension will be generated in out/.
• Hot reload and debug: https://github.com/microsoft/azure-devops-extension-hot-reload-and-debug

Steps

1. You can get two scaffolding action either from Source item grid or item menu as shown below

2. Provide required inputs used for creating Cosmic App Ev2 collateral

3. Explore remote branch containing Cosmic App Ev2 collateral after success alert

4. View the pull request containing Cosmic App Ev2 collateral
