Existing License codes will continue to work with the adapter.

Note: For those amongst you that do not have one or more of the pre-requisites and want to take a look at the adapter, well you can. Thelicense covers connecting to live Dynamics CRM Online and On-Premise data. You can use the control in LightSwitchdesign without a license or Dynamics CRM to browse through the entities, attributes and relationships. Take a look! Try it in Visual Studio 2012, 2013 and 2015 LightSwitch!

Pre-requisites:

A Dynamics CRM instance (if you want live data)

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online subscription
  • Micrososft Dynamics CRM 2011/13 (On Premise)

Free license key for the adapter supplied by Xpert360

  • Based on ‘Live ID’ to be used to access Dynamics CRM Online and ‘Organization Name’ used for the subscription.
  • Based on On-Premise Organisation name and username.

A credentials XML file similar to that used by the Dynamics CRM SDK samples and tools

  • With the addition of username, password and license key (domain for on-premise)
  • We will take into account any feedback as regards customer security requirements

The software media is a signed and certified VSIX package and supports VS2012 and VS2013.  (VS2010 Version is available on request).

  • Install the software.

Create a LightSwitch project

  • Enable the extension
  • Add a data source (RIA) and supply the credentials file location as the connection string
  • Select entities
  • Compose your LightSwitch solution
