.NET 10 / C# 14 project templates and code snippets for XFEExtension.NetCore.

XFEExtension.NetCore.VSIX

Project templates and C# snippets for .NET 10 / C# 14 and XFEExtension.NetCore.

Features

  • WinUI 3 application template with a core library and an XFE XUnit test project.
  • WPF application installer and Native AOT installer packager templates.
  • 16 C# snippets for AutoConfig, AutoPath, MVVM, XFE tests and StopAction.
  • Updated stable NuGet dependencies, including XFEExtension.NetCore 5.2.1, AutoConfig 4.1.2 and XUnit 4.0.2.
  • AutoConfig and MVVM snippets use partial properties.

Requirements

Use Visual Studio 2026, the .NET 10 SDK and the Windows SDK to work with the generated projects. Install Windows application development tools for WinUI and .NET desktop development tools for WPF. Native AOT publishing also requires Desktop development with C++.

The extension can install in Visual Studio 2022 17.14 and Visual Studio 2026. The generated projects target .NET 10 with C# 14.

AutoConfig example

Use the ac, acl and acd snippets inside a partial class inheriting from XFEProfile:

using XFEExtension.NetCore.AutoConfig;

public partial class UserProfile : XFEProfile
{
    [ProfileProperty]
    public static partial string Name { get; set; } = string.Empty;

    [ProfileProperty]
    public static partial ProfileList<string> Items { get; set; } = [];
}

Call SaveProfile() or await FlushAsync() before shutdown to persist pending changes. MVVM snippets require a partial class inheriting from ObservableObject.
