There are two options for downloading Windows Server AppFabric:

Web Platform Installer: Use this option for a  fully integrated setup experience for a stand-alone installation, which includes Windows Server AppFabric.

Direct Download of Windows Server AppFabric: Use this option if you are a developer or IT professional looking to build out a dedicated set of machines.

• For Web applications, AppFabric providescaching capabilities to provide high-speed access, scale, and high availability to application data.
• For composite applications, AppFabric makes it easier tobuild and manage services built using WindowsWorkflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation.
