The package will update the compiler and runtime, along with the IDE tooling. The F# language edition supported is F# 4.0. The update contains many bug fixes, enhanced templates and additional support for portable profiles.

Notes:
This does not update Visual Studio 2013 to F# 4.0. Visual Studio will continue to use the F# 3.1 language.
When installing the package on a system without any edition of Visual Studio 14.0 installed the compiler runtime and F# interactive will be deployed without IDE tooling. This can be done to obtain this preview of F# 4.0 for use in build and virtual machine scenarios, or when using other editing environmaents such as EMACS or XamarinStudio.
