The Essential UI Kit for Xamarin.Forms enables you to quickly build a user interface in a cross-platform application using Xamarin.Forms. It provides a clear separation of View, View Model, and Model classes, so integrating your business logic and making changes in the existing view is simple.

Getting Started

After installing the Essential UI Kit for Xamarin.Forms extension in Visual Studio, follow these steps to add a new page to your Xamarin.Forms project:

1. Open or create a new Xamarin.Forms application.
2. Right-click the .NET Standard (or Shared) project and select Essential UI Kit for Xamarin.Forms. This will open the custom dialog where you can select the required pages for your application. If you want to change the name of the template directory, you can change it in the custom dialog.
3. Click Add. All the necessary files will be added in your .NET Standard (or Shared), Android, iOS, and UWP projects, including Views, ViewModels, Models, and Resources.

Integrate Your Business Logic

The views in XAML pages are bound with properties in their respective View Model, and commands are exposed in the View Model for each action in the UI views. This allows you to focus on the business logic and only make changes in the XAML files if you have specific needs.

• iOS 9.0 and later versions.
• UWP Build 17763 and later versions.

The required minimum version of Xamarin.Forms is 4.3.0.991250.
