Project-Z for Visual Studio 2026One installer adds all seven Project-Z templates to File > New > Project. Search for Project-Z after installation and restart Visual Studio.
All templates use Project-Z 2026.11.2.2, including the new opt-in physics APIs: rigid bodies, parent-bound collisions, FreeMove dragging, weighted scrolling, friction and bounce, 3D bodies and sprite/GIF particle emitters. Physics drives existing scene and animation parameters. Collision solving runs on the CPU; particle rendering uses GPU batching. Install the .NET desktop development workload and the .NET 8 and .NET 10 SDKs. The .NET 10 Windows templates require Visual Studio 2026. The extension uses the stable 17.14 API compatibility model supported by Visual Studio 2026. Generated cross-platform projects can also build with the .NET SDK on their target operating systems. The first application build restores the matching public runtime from NuGet.org. No Project-Z source checkout is required. Optional model import, browser integration and native diagnostics remain separate runtime packages. Native desktop dependencies, macOS permissions, app bundles, signing and notarization remain application deployment steps. |
