As you change C# code and click Register in the ESharper functions custom task pane, the updated functions immediately become available in the current running Excel instance and the active sheet is automatically recalculated. The Visual Studio 2022/2019/2017 extension lets you edit function and command code with IntelliSense and syntax highlighting in Visual Studio and apply code changes to the current running Excel instance:
